The other day, I went to do my volunteer job at the Animal Shelter, and while I was walking by a room full of cats, I wasn’t really looking for anything when I saw a cat with no fur; and that cat was sitting very still in the corner, looking so content that I stopped in my tracks. I was completely captivated by its unique beauty — so much so that, by the end of the day, I knew I had to find a creative outlet for what I was feeling; so instead of doing it as a piece of art, I drew some coloring pages based on the hairless cat for other people to color. In total, I created ten hairless cat coloring pages to post online as a gift for everyone who might want to create something like I did using this one very special cat. OMG the results were super awesome and way better than I expected! I feel like they are all very personal to me in their own unique way. Some of them are simpler than others, while some have cute, cozy details in the background. The best thing about this activity is when the hairless cats were looking out from the cardboard boxes or lounging on soft mats near the light, or when they were sitting on the table by the pots of flowers or sleeping on cushions amidst the plants surrounded by their green leaves. If your child is a cat lover like mine, he or she will definitely have a hard time putting this down. I started making them and I couldn’t quit! I just kept making more until I had no more left. The hairless cats may seem new and different on your first impression, but the way that they can capture the imagination of someone who has never seen one is amazing – they give a totally different perspective than what people would typically have about cat coloring pages! Are you ready to begin? Pick whichever cat you think you’ll want to start with. Then click the big version of it, download it and print it out. Have fun with all the little details and use whatever medium you want to color!
