Last month I found this photo in a box in my closet and it made me feel so sad. And boom there she was. Our little Maltese on the couch. She looked the same as always. She died almost ten years ago but there she is still looking into the camera with those dark eyes. That little body. That white fur. Those dark eyes. Those soft ears. Everything got me, all over again. That same night. Laptop closed. Sketchbook open. Pencils picked up. I started drawing and I just kept going you know. Like I couldn’t stop. By the time it was late I had 10+ Maltese coloring pages done and they were all different and free. That’s pretty much how I make all my free dog coloring pages. One dog will just steal a whole evening from me.
On some days you just want a pencil and to be quiet. That’s what these pages do. There’s no sign up thing. There’s nothing hard about it. Download it or print it and done. Crayons work. Markers work. That old pen that’s been dried out forever and you keep forgetting to throw away. That one works. Take a page. Sit with it. Let yourself just get lost in it like I did.
